- Announced as LSU's special teams coordinator on Jan. 12, 2018 after spending the 2017 season as analyst for the Tigers
- Spent 11 years with the New Orleans Saints prior to joining the LSU staff
- Was part of the New Orleans staff that led the Saints to the Super Bowl title during the 2009 season
- Served on the coaching staff at Illinois for 13 years before transitioning to the NFL in 2006
- Was part of the 2001 Illinois staff that won the Big 10 and faced LSU in the Sugar Bowl

- Played defensive back at Eastern Illinois and was a member of the 1981 Division II National Championship squad
